ABOUT
Priory Cottage is situated in the heart of the Peak District, in the popular market town Bakewell. It's ideally located for exploring the local walks, stunning views, but still close to all necessary amenities such as local restaurants, bars and shops. It is the perfect stay for the whole family and friends.

Priory cottage is a traditional countryside cottage. The house has been recently refurbished to a high and luxurious standard whilst keeping all original features.

Priory cottage boasts two reception rooms with the main living space fitted with a log burning stove. Perfect for cosy nights in. The kitchen is equipped to cater for all needs, complete with a Smeg full range cooker. All bedrooms have the advantage of being spacious, comfortable and top of the range mattresses to enable a great nights sleep.

Priory cottage has a parking permit for the residents which is available for our guests. The closest parking spaces are only across the road (Church lane and North Church street). The closest off -street parking spaces are only one street above the cottage - Yeld road.
Priory Cottage is furnished to the highest standard so you can enjoy comfort during your stay. It has 3 large double bedrooms (2 king size beds, 1 twin bed), kitchen with large dinning table and two reception rooms. ​

Peak District Walks

There are number of walks around Derbyshire villages. We provide you a guide book where you can choose the right ones for you.
Market town
Bakewell is a traditional village offering you a wide range of shops, restaurants and coffee houses. Traditional Bakewell Pudding is a local unique confection you should try.
Chatsworth House
Home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. You can visit the house interior, beautiful gardens, working farmyard with playground or just walk around the estate. It's also worthy to check a number of shows at Chatsworth, including their own Country Fair.
Bike rides
The Peak District is well known for numerous cycle trails. There is a choice for everyone - families and leisure cyclists, off road trails, or explore the hilltops around the Peak District.
The Monsal Trail is highly recommended.
Haddon Hall
The English country house, home of Lord and Lady Edward Manners. This elegant castle is one of the finest fortified manor houses. It is situated only 3 miles from Bakewell, on the River Wye.
Fishing
Fly Fishing is available around the River Wye, It's one of the only rivers in the country with wild rainbow trout. You can find lessons if you would like some assistance.
